About DJ Tech NYC
DJ Tech NYC is an independent collection of civic web tools for exploring neighborhoods and planning everyday trips. The home page brings the apps together with a parking map and practical guidance.
What the parking preview does
Choose a neighborhood, filter meter block faces by listed vehicle type, and select a blue line to read the source’s zone, hours, and rate. The preview organizes NYC public data into a map you can explore without creating an account.
Sources and limitations
Meter records come from NYC Open Data. Street tiles are supplied by OpenStreetMap. Parking guidance links to NYC DOT, DSNY, and NYC311. Meter records are requested when the map loads or moves; the city’s underlying records may lag changes on the street.
The map does not measure vacant parking spaces or establish whether parking is legal at a particular time. Missing data is not permission to park. Check the actual signs and meter before leaving your vehicle.
Independent publishing
DJ Tech NYC is not a city agency and is not affiliated with NYC DOT. The site combines public data with its own navigation, filters, explanations, and reporting tools. Optional support is available through the linked Buy Me a Coffee page.
Corrections
If a map entry or explanation looks wrong, report it to the site maintainer. Include the street or meter zone, what you expected, and what appeared. For a city service request, use NYC311.
